BalkanID, a venture backed cybersecurity company backed by top tier investors is looking for a Engineering Intern with product/engineer/developer mindset.

The candidate will be responsible for working closely with our engineering team to understand the unique needs of each client and develop solutions that meet those needs and integrating them with our internal systems. What You’ll Do:

The Engineering Intern plays an important role in the successful in building solutions for customers. This position is at the intersection between Product, Engineering and Customer Success teams to help to serve engineering needs. It also works to identify the root cause of any deployment issues and works with the larger team to help resolve them to ensure the success of our clients.

Responsibilities

• Building and developing prototypes, solutions for customers, solving engineering problems that meet their needs and integrating them with our core platform.
• Help setup, integration and deployment of the BalkanID product in client tenants along with associated integrations.
• Communicates implementation and product details internally as well with customers at the technical and/or functional level appropriate for the situation.
• Works closely with Product and Engineering teams to help meet requirements.
• Works with internal stakeholders on user testing, debugging, support and maintenance.
• Develops and maintains custom code for unique customer requirements (for example: identity extractors for applications etc.)

Qualifications

• Currently in sophomore/pre-final/final year pursuing a Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent degree.
• Strong Computer Science fundamentals with a knack of finding solutions to unconventional problems.
• Hands-on experience with at least one programming language such as Python, Go is a must.
• Willing to learn security concepts and practices such as knowledge of authentication, security and reliability.
