BalkanID, a venture-backed cybersecurity company backed by top-tier investors, seeks a Product Manager Intern with a consumer product mindset.
Product Management at BalkanID sits at the intersection of engineering, go-to-market, and business strategy. We shape high-level product goals but also get our hands dirty. On any given day, you will work on product epics + stories, conduct user research, analyze product usage data, or pair with an engineer on product iteration and go-live implementation.

What You’ll Do
- Author product use cases and detailed requirements. Translate market observations and customer feedback into a prioritized product backlog.
- Manage our product roadmap by working closely with engineering and data science. Opine on tough tactical prioritization decisions while helping the company think long-term. Build trust with stakeholders by maintaining an understandable, accurate roadmap.
- Understand the Identity Security and Governance markets and capabilities, as well as adjacent Security offerings (CIEM, SSPM, etc.)
- Conduct competitive analyses and maintain current information regarding competitive activity
- Relentlessly iterate on capabilities within a fast-paced startup environment.
Qualifications:
- BS, or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields.
- 5+ years of product management or equivalent experience in Cyber Security with demonstrated ability to discover opportunities and then define and deliver products.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Define and document product epics tied to complex product stories and tasks of a broad scope using independent judgment.
- Experience balancing execution, agility, and culture at a fast-growing startup environment.
- Strong technical abilities. You are intimately familiar with modern software development practices used to build and deploy applications and data systems.
- Deep customer and stakeholder empathy. You must be not only the voice of the customer, but at various times the voice of marketing, engineering, support and ops. You must be able to channel many points of view.
- Experience working with data analysis at scale. An understanding of how to make big data small.
